i thought i'd get away with doing the downpipe without having to weld the full length of the dump tube... oh well. it still turned out ok.

D's and 14bs go good together. Here is one I am just about finished with, just waiting on a 38mm outlet flange. It will just be dumped though.
Hangs a little low, but still plenty high enough to get a good drain.
