unless you have some mean *** clamps, i'd say no. I've done it and it was just more problems than the money saved was worth. The clamps don't keep the exhaust from twisting and drooping down if you have bends in it, and to get them apart later you need a hammer, and then you can't get them back together. If you cut the pieces how you want them, it should cost much to have them welded together or have flanges welded on

i dont know what you used, you ever try to seperate to pipes that have been clamped with one of these? its not easy, i had to cut a slit

Buy a smiley tig and some cheap 2.5" stainless 180's and DIY. Will be much better than what the exhaust shops will do and will cost about the same. ~ $400

Oh and it will flow really nice too.

is tig stick welding :1 is that harder then wire feed

my first welding experiance was flux core wire feed welder and tried to make my owne exhaust. it can be done, mine turned out like *** but i will most likeley try again in the future. the pipeing was free from the junk tube pile at the exhaust shop.

Well. If your welding was anything like your spelling I dont doubt that it sucked.
