I am thinking of re-enlisting navy or airforce, I just havent made up my mind yet, but united defense and ITT pays good so I might just get on a 1 year contract in kuwait $12000 a month plus hazard pay, and seperation pay as a civilian mechanic. imagine that doing the same job that do as active duty for 8 times more a month in a none combat zone.
like I said, I don't mind you sayin something because you know how little we get paid for the things that we do, I just don't want someone who doesn't have a clue sayin somethin' dumb.

I've been thinkin' about one of those jobs when I get out..... just got to get the ***** to be away from my son for that long(forget the wife) I love my kid.

Don't get all rightous, my whole family is in the airforce. Its a well known fact that navy uniforms are for the men who love to swaggle ****.

hey rawr do me a favor, before you talk ---- educate yourself on what I am to do for the navy, look up a navy corpsman, greenside that is. do you think you could go to a combat zone with double the equipment a marine has to carry and keep up? let alone when a marine gets shot in the middle of a fight now you drop your weapon and run bullets blazing past your head to save that mans life with no regards for your own? And whats worse is now two marines are shot, and your the only corpsman around. Do you let them die or do you die trying to save them so that they can go home to their kids and their parents when this is all over? And as soon as the enemy learns that you are medical they direct more fire your way? could you do all that? ask a marine about their corpsman and then come tell me you'd have to be gay to put on a navy uniform. its ***** like you that should be sent to places like somalia and iraq and iran so that you can be shot to make this world a better place. you have no respect for people who put on ANY type of service uniform, it doesnt matter if its a marine a sailor a soilder or a god damn coast guardsman, you need to hold your tounge because without us you are dead your family is dead all your friends are dead, this forum would not be here, car customization would be the last thing on peoples minds.
A flight deck can reach temperatures in excess of 140 degrees, people get blown overboard all the time. Just recently on the USS George Washington a line that catches incoming planes broke and 4 people died, I know a guy that was on that ship, he pushed his chief out of the way of a line that was flailing out of control, he saved his chief but was unable to save the other one, do you know what happened to him? He fell from the flight deck to the water do you have any idea how far down that is? he broke his shoulder and floated in the water as dead weight until somebody realized he was gone. where were the corpsman when that incident happened? on the flight deck you ---- not worried if the plane next to their head was going to blow up because it was leaking fuel and heavily damaged, no they were worried about the injured shipmate laying on the deck at their feet screaming for god to help them.

have I seen all of this? not yet but I am on my way, I am hoping to be in iraq by the end of this summer. do i know people who have been? yes, i know several corpsman with purple hearts do you know what a purple heart is awareded for? injuries sustained in battle. One corpsman that came from the school I am at now, only 3 months earlier was hit by an IED (a roadside bomb) in iraq, he lost both his legs, you know what he did? He disregarded the fact that he was missing BOTH his legs and began working on marines that were down.

So I must be gay to put on a Navy Uniform? have some ------- respect you low life piece of ----. I know you know someone who has been to a warzone, you probably know a marine, tell a marine that navy corpsman have to be gay to wear a navy uniform, if he doesnt kill you your lucky, you want to know why? because a navy corpsman probably saved his buddies life, or possibly his own.

and yes i am proud of my navy uniform, as is everyone who puts on a service uniform, and im glad your family is in the airforce, but you are a ------- moron.

Glad to hear. I know there's more money on the outside, but are you going to make more money with the skills you got from the service? I rarely hear of that, so if that's what you meant, you need to share what your job is/was.

My skills translate to the outside, more than I can say for the guys who work on torpedoes. I'm a electronics Technician, ET and I'm one class shy of a bachelors in Business Management. I worked as a auto mechanic at a couple of GM dealerships for 6yrs before I signed my life away(temporarily). I plan on hooking up with IT or something computer related. Hell I may even open up my own auto shop.....got the skilz
