does the arc and plasma use the same gas?

i have a gas torch and a mig already. so really i would jsut be buying it for the plasma and tig.

plasma cutter runs off of compressed air.... tig runs off argon,

Ok; stupid question; by arc start you mean it starts the arc automatically and you DO NOT have to scratch start it? right? or am i backwards

if its not scratch start thast pretty neat; i may look into getting one of these

You DO NOT have to touch the material to initiate start. Its a little jumping arc light a piezo cigarette lighter.

oh nice thats what i was hoping for. I tried once to start a scratch start tig; and at low amps i sucked at it
this little chinise fabricating machine that could seems ever more interesting
