my miter saw takes $3 10" metal cut off blades same hole size as the wood blades there just by the metal chop saws at the store

5/8" arbor
nelson get a 20% off HF coupon and use it when the HF saw drops to $150 is how you get them for $130 out the door.

I still STRONGLY recommend buying the grizzly model. We own a dozen big grizzly tools and i also own the HF 4*6 bandsaw. Let me tell you... My 14.4v Makita drill stepped down on a fresh battery pack has more torque than the "1/3hp" HF motor does. That's just how bad the motor alone sucks Not to mention the pissy deck, bearings/surfaces, china spring, suspenion, the table that will literally collapse during the install and almost kill you..........
Everyone making a 4*6" bandsaw uses the same basic design, but a Grizzly or Jett, even an Enco, is night and day better and safer than the HF crap.

I honestly state anyone that can't swing the $100-150 difference between the HF and the Grizzly saw is not going to be using the saw enough to justify buying a bandsaw in the first place. Stick to 14" chop saws.

Grizzly was formerly made in tawain, factories moved to china but they maintained their quality after a short teething problem.

Their stuff is more a solid middle class and above depending on what you want to spend. Make really good motors too, used a 1/3HP grizzly motor on an old Delta upright drillpress, worked great.

May aswell not buy a portable bandsaw for what we do. It's hard enough to make a LONG collector on a 4*6 bandsaw. Youd be stuck doing nothing but cutting pipe off square with a portable.

i have never had one issue with my HF bandsaw. i got it on sale for $140 like 6 years ago. the legs are a little flimsy and one of these days i am going to make some new ones and possibly add on some liguid cooling but i have used it almost weekly as long as i have had it. i have probably spent 3 times what i paid for it in blades. i have no complaints
