I drive my car every day in 5th gear and I boost it in 5th all the time, I just dont do rippers in 5th.

Def'

-Rip-per (n.)

1. One who commits murder with a knife or similar sharp object.
2. Going WOT in a FI car while banging all the gears to redline.

Theres a difference, you just dont beat the ---- out of your car in 5th gear, puts way to much of a load on the engine, EGT's go up, ---- breaks.. not worth it.

by 5th gear pull do you mean like getting on it hard in 5th gear as opposed to driving normal in 5th gear like going down the highway at a steady speed?

i trust my car over 120. i've had it pegged all the way probably faster than 120 can't tell though coz my speedo only goes to 120 but my car doesn't sway or shimmy, ---- i can change lanes at that speed. mine rides tight (knock on wood)

More than likly not, but just make sure its tuned real good. Even with built motors I really never do rippers in 5th, maybe short bursts but thats it. It's not like fwd hondas feel safe over 120mphs anyways.

Let me rephrase this..

350+ whp in a light *** civic hatch or crx over 120mph is a thrill, but I'd like to live til i'm 75, I dont trust our roads around here. Top speed runs are not nearly as thrilling to me as accelerating to 120.

Until you drive a high hp honda and do some healthy rippers you really wont understand. I was pretty freaked out taking my ex-girlfriends built h22 to over 140mph. It still had torque steer over 100.
