I've seen this guy post on some other forums, he's kind of an ass sometimes. But when you can weld like that: you can talk to anyone however you please!

He's one of those guys that even if you got to hang around him for one day, you'd pick up enough tips and information as to equal a welding class.

Talk about never having to worry about being employed :y

Engloid does sound like a robot's name ;)

Didn't know he was banned, hopefully he'll check this thread and tell us why?

------- damit!! I wrote up a huge post, and when I clicked POST, it came up a "link can't be found" or some error page. WHen I back up, it says "Warning - while you were reading a new reply has been posted. You may wish to review your post."... but the post I wrote is gone!!
(condensed version below)
Anyway, thanks for the compliments guys.

I was banned from HT:
I posted a pic of me riding my motorcycle at Deals Gap in jeans. I had helmet, gloves, leather jacket, and riding boots. One of the mods started in on me, saying that it might be ok to wear on most roads, but I was an idiot for wearing jeans there...or some ---- like that. After this went on for a while, the thread was locked. Then Luke, another mod, read the thread, unlocked it, and started on me. I didn't take ---- off him, so he banned me.

Oh and try this link, I think it has a second page with more pics: www.engloid.com/workpics

don't bother clicking on it, it's the same page as listed at the begining of the post. (what you're seeing actually is the source code, don't know why though. You can save it on your hd as html file and open it, you'll see what i'm talking about)

No, it's not the same page.... if you go to the bottom, there's a link for page 2.

The link works fine for me when I click it.
Here's page 2. If you can't get the link to work on your computer type it in...I dunno why it's not working for you.

<center></b> <hr></font></center>I'll start out with some pictures of a turbo setup I made for a local guy's BMW. It turned out pretty well.<hr>
Below is a picture of the test fit into the engine bay. I had to turn the turbo on a slight angle to accommodate the wastegate, but it all fit in well afterwards.<p>

Back out of the car, ready to work in the wastegate to the downpipe, and do final welding: <p>

Here's a picture of one of the downpipe welds: <p>

and some of the manifold welds: <p>

<img src="http://www.engloid.com/BMW/DSCF0337a.JPG"><p>
After the wastegate was tied back into the downpipe, it looked like this from the other side: <p>

<img src="http://www.engloid.com/BMW/DSCF0544a.JPG"><p>
The turbo wasn't up in the air in the car as badly as these pics make it look like, since the engine sits in the bay at an angle. <p><hr>
Some other automotive performance work includes some merge collectors. <p>
This is a mild steel 4 to 1 collector that was made in a diamond pattern, rather than most where the 4 pipes are in a square arrangement.<p>

This one was a 2 to 1, with the picture being taken before I cut the end and welded it up.

This is a pic of some .035" thick tubing I welded, just for pictures somebody had requested.<p>

It was difficult to get a good picture of the inside of the weld:<p>
<img src="http://www.engloid.com/Welding/tube5.JPG"><p>
The above was scraps from doing this X-pipe for a customer:

Now, back to some more pictures of work I've done at "work."<p>
<img src="http://www.engloid.com/Welding/Combo-1.JPG"><p>
Above is a cabinet that is the new craze in the food service industry. A conveyor runs through the middle of it and food runs across it at a rate of over 6ft/sec. The food is xray'd as it goes through. If an item is rejected, a snapshot of it shows up on the screen...which you can see isn't installed yet. The surface of these cabinets had to be near perfect. Any visible scratches were suspect to causing the entire cabinet to be rejected. The edges that were welded had to be ground down, sanded, and made to look the same as the edges that were bent. I'll not bore you with more rambling, here's more pics of them:<p>
A bit blurry, sorry:<p>
<img src="http://www.engloid.com/Welding/Combo-5.JPG"><p>

<img src="http://www.engloid.com/Welding/Combo-3.JPG"><p>
<img src="http://www.engloid.com/Welding/Combo-4.JPG"><p>
<hr>
Below are some pictures of welding I did on a piping job. I was a bit rusty at this stuff, so forgive the inconsistencies in the welds.
<img src="http://www.engloid.com/Welding/DSCF0365.JPG"><p>
<img src="http://www.engloid.com/Welding/DSCF0366.JPG"><p>
<img src="http://www.engloid.com/Welding/DSCF0367.JPG"><p>
I'm not too crazy about this weld below, but I was still rusty. It was 6" stainless pipe.<p>

Open the link in Internet Explorer. Firefox/Mozilla doesn't like to randomly guess when the file has no extension and the server says it's plain text.
