Ball Bearing Shifter
i bought a "fidanza" (thats right, fidanza) shifter off ebay for cheap. they were having a sale. it has bearings instead of bushings. it is really smooth, and eliminated almost all sided to side play when in gear.
I built my own short shift from a stock lever i had laying about
, Thought i was the dogs bollocks till my brother got a fuggin Skunk2 fo his civic. I had to get one
! Noticed a diff'rence straight away but the shift rod itself has a load of freeplay in it at the 'box end where the UJ is. Gotta new rod somewhere and a set of Energy susp. poly bushes too for when the winter's gone.

if your going to upgrade the bearings, you might as well go all the way and get bones ceramics
i used doh doh bushings for my eclipse shifter, so i can say that i have also used skateboard parts on my ride.
