Arc Weld 304 SS?

Anyone out there ever arc welded 304/304L stainless sch. 40 pipe?

I have access to some 308/308L and 316/316L rods for free. Thought I'd give it a chance if one of the rods mix well.

308L will work, 309L will run a hell of a lot nicer.

Either one will work fine for exhaust piping.

yea, 308L seems to work ok. nothing a grinder can't fix...
