I have read a lot. I haven't found many books useful. The best instruction will be seat time. Play with settings, ask questions, post pics.

what CS said. you can read all the books about any kind of welding you want, but it takes practice and real experiance to get anywhere.
download the welding books in some of the torrents.

jago is that the covell vid? (i cant look at it at work) if it is that is a really good video that at least shows you how to do it but it still takes a lot of practice before you can even hold the torch steady enough and at the right angle and then you have to learn to hold your left hand steady with the filler. and learn when to dip, how much, how quickly. ect

I haven't seen any books that are anything more than beginner level...and they seem to be half full of BS that leads people in the wrong direction.

The best thing i have read on it is Miller's TIG Welding Handbook. It's free, and on their website. It's the most accurate and informative read I've found.
