Because he also said it was sloppy. 9 times out of 10 when I've worked with fluxcore, sloppiness was because I didn't have the heat up enough. If he's burnign through pipe, he's just moving too slow.

I say, turn teh heat lower, and play with wire speed until you get it flowing right. You generall ymove in a crecent moon shape as you see the metal turning red. Another way to determine how fast to move is how fast the wire is coming out the end (assuming you have it set up correctly to melt the wire).

Its hard to weld thin pipe too start off. I would get some thicker scrap metal and practice laying some beads. Nothing pisses me off more then burning a hole in pipe, im very impatient and just want to pull the trigger and go
