No problem. I have heard of everyone bitching about the plasma breaking. I would shell out the money for quality machines that serve single proccess. Then buy a piece of ---- all in one machine that doesnt work.

Tigging alum with DC+ sucks(might as well torch weld it).To tig alum properly you need to use AC and a high frequency arc starter.At one point there were some plans on how to build the high frequency part from a neon light ballast on the net somewhere.At one point I actually built a solid state one from a 555 timer a transistor and a car coil.It worked great for one start and then the coil would fry the transistor and 555 timer as soon as you would shut it down.There are ways to fix this,but I ran out patience for that project.

Details? I want to make one.

You can use DCEP which does suck. You only get pen no cleaning. AC balenced is the best

If you guys would have told me this like 4 months ago..i'd have no clue. I'm glad I took that welding class, I actually know what you guys are talking about. And yeah, TIGing aluminum is hard doing it the easiest way..so Im not even going to attempt it any other way.
