THe bird ---- welds come from the person welding not the welder. if you can control the speed and heat right you can make it look good

 

yeah dipshit they're birdshit boxes. the heat adjustment is almost non-existant and the ------- drive mechanisms are stupid. they don't hold the right tension on the wire, when you do it eventually breaks itself, the wire bucks because the liners are too large, the wire punches holes in the ---- PVC liners, they have no duty cycle, and their drive motors burn themselves out.

 

plus 90 amps is not sufficient to run a flux core in spray transfer, giving you a large, uncontrolled amount of inclusions in the weld, regardless of your skill.

my hf has heat adjustments that work, it feeds wire beautifully. adjust the ------- tension, never had wire punch, buckle, or anything of the sort. i've welded plate steel on highest output for several feet, only stopping because of the fact the torch head was going to start glowing, and/or melting the torch neck.

there's dozens of people on here who use HF, with hotrex being the only one who i've read of, with an issue with their HF.

 

i broke mine inside a few hours of total use. don't buy an HF welder they're ------- shitty.
even the tig welders have out lived its usefulness with cheap the rhiland clones going for not much more and having HF start.

if my camera didnt suck, i'd have pictures of what this machine can do. next time tim has it on the lift, ill get the pictures of the downpipe welds.
