2-1 Exhaust on a Honda VT250
A guy that used to work at my friend's shop as a tech, rides this little shitbox VT250 as a daily. He wanted to get rid of the heavy *** cat. that comes from the factory. The other guys started ripping on him (and me for helping him) but he's a good guy and a good tech with crazy ideas, so I agreed to help him. (Plus he offered to buy the beer)
We started off by removing the stock system completely. We then hacked the flanges and head pipes. That cat weighed a ---- ton for a 2 fi'tty. We made our cut and I sparked up new lead pipes that wrapped around eachother and ran diagonal across the rear of the engine.
close-up of where the stock cat used to be.
Now I had to figure out where to run the collector. We decided to run it under and just to the rear of the foot peg. At that point is was time to make the pipes that feed into the collector and the weld up the collector.
(Sorry about the shitty camera phone pics. )
The rest was cake. We fitted the intermediate pipe and silencer and mounted the can in the hanger and torqued it. I then welded a bolt to the collector and anchor the int. pipe to it with a stiff-*** spring. (forgot to take pics of that)
Oh yeah, I forgot...
And thought this was funny (NSF bukky) http://www.punediary.com/index.html
