Default zeitronix vs. ?

i am strongly considering buying a zeitronix setup. i haven't really seen that much else out there that interests me that offers the same features. i will be getting the display as well. i am not planning on doing the laptop on the passenger seat thing yet. i need to learn more about tuning and i'd rather start with the tools and learn them a bit first before getting myself and my motor all messed up. just looking for peoples opinions. anything better? recommend any additional features as a "must have", like the boost sensor or EGT probe? i already have a boost guage, and a crappy afr guage. i was going to buy it directly off their site. has anyone else done this?

any feedback is greatly appreciated.

I bought mine directly from their site, and I was very pleased with the unit and service. I did not buy anything extra (like display). IMO the display is only useful if you have a passenger looking at it; your afrs will change too frequently for you to get a good idea of what's going on just by glancing at it. If you already have a laptop, it's a cinch to hook it up, and you can maximize the display so it's mega-visible (albiet on the passenger seat like you said). Plus, datalogging, need I say more?

P.S. You mention you already have a crappy afr guage. Well, you can skip the display if you want and hook the simulated narrowband output of the Zeitronix unit to your afr guage, and voila, your afr guage will be not-so-crappy.

How do you figure? It's still the same narrowband signal.

You have to buy another part for that though. For that price you could just get the PLX with the gauge and be set.
