Default zc afc not working

Well after reading how a dozen people installed their dsm injectors and afc im more confused than ever. I have a zc turbo crx dx. i just installed dsm 450s and an apexi safc well i tried connecting it normally(like it says in the manual) and the way it says in th faq which is using wire 11 (orange) which seems to be throttle dependant. both setups are yeilding the same results, ----. bad idle and low rpm revs, with good full throttle high rpm revs no matter what setting i use. its not real clear whether or not i should use my check valves still so ive tried using them and not. i also tried changing the map sensor. is there some step im missing or do i have some special bullshit(and probably expensive) problem. Thanks for any and all help

Car, OBD, and setup would help. Check valves should NOT be used with an AFC.

ok so the kill whitey thing was taken all wrong it was the first thing that came to mind when thinking of a username. The car is a 1991 crx dx with a non obd zc motor, the turbo is a t25. someone told me i need an FPR but others say i dont, the one on the motor is stock. i am using a Honda resistor box, i installed one when i did the zc swap. I think i covered the car obd and setup thing, correct me if im wrong. I cant find any article thats very clear so if anyone has any suggestions or links to an article thats a little more detailed i would appreciate it, thanks

DON'T use an fpr. Not sure if you even need a resistor box with an obd0 car and dsm 450 injectors...?

i'm pretty sure no other resister box is needed on obd0, at least i am not using one and its fine on my 89 rex (although it is a z6 motor but w/obd0 and a v-afc). Like everyone said, no check valve w/ afc. i'm assuming u did the dx to si 4 injector set up, using all the nessecary items off an si, which would include all the resisters and wiring to drop the 450's in without any other mods than to enlarge some injector seals ! My setup uses no fpr, and yours shouldn't either! I'm thinking, as long as all of your wires are right, and you are getting all the reads from the sensor, it is probobly your setting on your s-afc... here is a post all about the v-afc, which is similar, which might help: http://www.geocities.com/thermalfid16/VAFChack1.html

good luck

He refused to tell us what was left to be done, and he took the owners manual for the afc and the turbo timer, not only do i have some questions about the afc, i don't even know how the hell to use it. That is why I asked specifically about the Apexi SAFC, and I wanted to talk to someone personally who knows about that one in specific.

How do I do it? What rough settings should I set it to for starters? How do I do that? Trust me, I have more, but I think that this will be a great start to me getting flamed. Also, I read the faq and got some numbers (didn't help, don't know what to do with them) and I read the stuff on apexi's site (also didn't help).
