Willem + SST EEPROM issues, working from xenocrons info
can anyone offer more on the jumper stuff. the how-to says something about moving jumpers to set voltage, but I have no idea which jumper I am moving.
Anyone have this in visual form? I thought I had it right, but one chip just errors every time i try to burn it, and the other burns and verifies fine but throws a solid CEL and soon as I key-on in the car.
I don't wanna be down to having only one chip.

you only set the third jumper when erasing the chip. basically set up everything like in the pic on the software for programming the chip, then set the offset (towards the bottom right of the screen on the software, set at 0000 by default), set it to 8000, then hit program, it was ask if you want to start at offset 8000, just click yes and you're good to go. you have to set a third jumper to erase them, and then remove it again once you've erased it. i'll see if i can scrounge up a pic, i'm not sure if i have any of the 512's though. looks like another willem how to is in order for the 512's

i believe all my jumpers are set correctly because i can read the chip, erase it, see that it is blank, program it and read it back and open the bin in TE and its exactly the same. also the green vcc lights up and the red vpp lights up when programming, which i believe means that the voltages are set right. im using the usb for power, i dont know if you need the AC adapter for more power or what?
xenocron chipped my pr4 and it works fine with a stock pr4 or pm6 chip, but whenever i burn a sst chip with a stock bin(for pr4 and pm6) i just get a solid cel.
i can take pics of the jumpers once i get out of work, but i think we are both having the same problem.

Another thing I figured out that might help people...
Download the TunerPro software from MOATES' site.
There is a feature in there called "BIN STACKER" I believe. Take the same 32k BIN file and use the BIN STACKER to stack (2) 32k programs on top of each other to make (1) 64k file.
Then burn that 64k file using the Willem and you dont need to set the Offset...
But like Kev said...jumper out to burn, jumper in to erase.
And...if you get an error in the middle of burning, you need to erase the chip before attempting to reburn the chip.

yeah, i've personally tried the bin stacker and it does work, however, with the willem, it's so much simpler to just start the offset at 8000, all you have to change is that one number, not like on the burn 1 where you have to change start/end/bufferstart/bufferend, etc.
