Default Wideband o2 sensors?????????

I feel like such a noob with this question, but if and when I go to dyno tune my car and I want to use their Wideband, do I need an extra bung for it, or can I just take out the factory sensor for tuning and then put it back in when it's all done.

Management is 450 dsm's and V-afc.

best if you have an extra bung, most dynos have sniffer pipes though if you dont

Ya, I wonder the accuracy of those sniffers due to the tempreture drop by the time you reach the tail pipe. I know they're self heated O2s, obviously, but I wonder if EGT plays a part in air:fuel ratio... hotter air, less dense, more saturdation of fuel? Hrm, ..anyone?

i've always wondered the same thing but I was under the impression that it was corrected for somehow

yeah i have been wondering the same thing. i think you should be able to take out your stock o2 if you have it diabled in your .bin right? then put it back in when your done.

Most dyno operators know that a tail pipe sniffier will read a little leaner (a point or two) but they know there specific setup well. So if the sniffer is readin 14, they know that if they had a WB in the downpipe, it would be reading 12...get what im saying?

Ya.. but.. exhaust pipe length, diameter, number of resonators, muffer size.. cat/no cat, would ALL play a part in an accurate tune.

...do you get pegged with all of those questions on sniffer tube dynos? The ones I have been to haven't said anything about that.

ive only asked at the two i have been two, they both said they knew their sniffers well enough to know approx what the actual AFRs were based on the readings.

i think post cat screws it up even more, im not even sure you can get accurate readings with all the moisture in the mixture after a cat

yeah I have no cat either, straight pipe all the way. I eventually would like to own one so I think if I can I would weld a second bung, but I guess for the dyno I don't need it, they'll use the tailpipe thing.
