Im going to be installing my twin tec wego wideband this week and Im kind alost on the wiring. The unit itself has a red, black and a white wire. The white wire is the longest and has a female plug on the end of it, the kit also came with a male plastic connector and some more white wire

What is the white wire for?

This is going in an 88 Crx si with d16a6 and still obdo if it matters

The red and black and simply power and ground right?

Also this big fat plug they come with about 6" away from the sensor might not be to good, Im scared of burning it. Am I able to cut about 2" before the sensor and extend each of the 5 wires about 2 feet so the plug stays inside the car? That would help a lot

the white wire is probably a narrow band o2 signal. And just make sure the wires/plug arnt touching the exhaust and youll be fine.

hook the white up to D14 for the o2 signal.
Hook the red up to a switched power sorce.
And ground the unit to the ECU.
