I just got my turbo on yesterday and it is the shiznit. Before I put my turbo on I had a stalling problem. After I drove the car for a while and it warmed up whenever i would push the clutch in to come to a stop the car would stall. So i tried throwing it in neutral while stopping and the car also stalled. My tack was saying that my rpm's dropped down to 0. Now that i got the safc it's saying that i'm around 550rpm. can anyone help me. if you need any other information let me know. Also can anyone tell me why my plug wires are popping off my plugs. I have a 99 civic dx hatchback with a d16y7.

Check your distibutor. It sounds like an ignition problem. Make sure everything is intact inside the distributor and make sure your plug wires are on good. :P

the stalling could be a vaccum leak or something. i don't have my vaccum lines hooked up right, and when i push in my clutch, idle goes down to about 500 and wants to stall

check your idle control. I had the same problem it would be fine when i started the car up but after it warmed up it would stall on me when i came to a stop or when i was slowing down and threw it into neutral. What was happening was that when the car went into neutral the rpm's would drop really low to like 400rpm's to low to keep the car running. So i set my idol to about 750rpm this way when they drop they drop downed to about 550 and kicked back up to between 650 and 750

 

you just turnedd the idle adjustment screw?

what procedure did u do?

 

i just turned the idle adjustment screw counter clockwise a little at a time and took it for a test drive each time. I repeated this until i got it where i wanted it.
