WHO IS USING STOCK INJECTORS

Re: WHO IS USING STOCK INJECTORS
Impossible.
I just glanced this thread, so I'm sure I'm going to repeat information...
..but, it's impossible to run 8psi on stock injectors reliably. Yes, you can bump up the fuel pressure. Though it would have to be around 140-150psi to supply adequate amounts of fuel to hit a safe AFR.
140psi in your fuel rail will stick your injectors open.
Say you did chip your ECU and increase pulse duration. At 1.3psi (based on column headers) you're already at about 85% duty cycle. It is impossible to increase pulse width duration long enough to flow enough fuel for 8psi on a 240cc injector.
If you want to continue to say you're doing it.. you know friends who do it, blah blah blah, fine. Your lack of experience will catch up with you.
..however, do not recommend ANYONE on this board do that. Passing misinformation is a huge problem amoung forums, and will not be tolerated here.

Re: WHO IS USING STOCK INJECTORS
it can take abuse but there is no point to kill it with stock injectors when you could easily put the built motor in WITH correct fuel injectors and sell or build the other motor ETC...

use atleast and AFC.. but Turboedit (or uberdata depending on OBD version) would be best for you.

Re: WHO IS USING STOCK INJECTORS
thats what we're trying to tell you. most of the people have already done the trial and error and are trying to save you the time and expense of replacing your motor ahead of schedule.
But if you really want to learn, go use the 240cc w/ a SAFC.
