I didn't find it hard at all. if you have basic soldiering skills you'll be fine. YOu just need a fine tip soldiering pen.
My hardest part is tryng to make everything look neat and transferable to other cars. I just used trailer connector and am going to mount it in a nice solid box.

It's all there.

I'm still looking for a display. If anyone knows of an inexpensive digital voltage gauge that would be great. The best I found was a 2"x1" 3 digit diplay but it was 69 dollars. I can use a multimeter for that price. I got mine cheap so I might try to disassemble it and mount it all in on unit.

A I have a few others around so it will be no loss

hey bumble where are you getting the power source from? theres two seperate circuits one for the heater and one for the wb. and so u really did use 4 extra resistors? thanks man

Re:Who has made the DIY WBo2 Kit?

My power is coming off of my radio ACC wire. I just spliced into it. I'm going to switch it to another source. Not that the radio isn't a good source it's just that I have a turbo timer and I want to power the heater while the car stays running. That way the heater for the o2 sensor stays on and that way I don't ruin the sensor.

As for powering both circuts. I put my 12volt in to the heater first(j3)and then from the same hole sent a wire to the Uego power(j11) So they actual are on the same source.

I added 5 resistors in total. Exact value I cant remeber. My kit didn't come with extra so I had to use some I had. I can't tell the color so I can't tell you the resitance the are because I insolated my board with some hot glue to protect the wires. My best guess is I used 2 330 ohms and I think 3 200 ohms. Not to sure. It's a hit and miss trial. Just make sure the car is running when your testing it because mine wasn't and I couldn't get the sensor to warm up because of the lower voltage. Mine now warms up in about 45sec.

I'll answer any other questions if you have them. This thing works great!!!

hey so you turn the heater circuit on first then do u wait for the LED to come on and then unplug the heater and plug the wb circuit? sorry for these questions. I bought the kit from bamboo without papers just parts.

Re:Who has made the DIY WBo2 Kit?

No, The heater must stay on all the time. The uego circut automatically turns on once the heater is up to temp. That why while it it heating the output voltage is 2.5 and then once it's heated it can fuction properly.

If the heater is not active while the car is running it will ruin your sensor if it is in there too long.

goto www.diy-wb.com he has all the assembley nots there. Read them carefully to ensure you don't ruin your sensor.

and no prob with the questions I'm glad to help iut!

Can you run datalogging with this WB02 on Uberdata and also I have an HX Wideband and I was wondering if it would work for this app or not.

Re:Who has made the DIY WBo2 Kit?

Not a clue. You can datalog this wideband but no one sells a specific kit for it. Remeber, this is a bare bones circut board. One the DIY site he has a link to a device you can use to sent the voltage read out to you computer. If you get something working let me know!

Also what is the HX Wideband, is that the sensor, Only a VX 5 wire sensor will work.
