are you sure your fuel pump can keep up? a 10:1 would put you around 90 psi of fuel pressure at 5 psi of boost if i'm not mistaken.

might be the fuel pump...bad thing is i got a full tank of gas....and its 92 octane dangit...i have a walbro 255lph pump...maybe i should put it in and see what happens...cause every time i hit 5 psi of boost the ****** goes straight from top rich to dead lean....doesnt matter what rpm im at...well...i dont have ---- for money to buy another fmu...so i think when this tank is empty ill just install the fmu and see what happens.

is this thing ok for 8 to 10psi? cause im hittin 10psi....5 psi of lean...i let off but it will still shoot up to 10...i just want to know if it will lean out at 10psi...even if i get my problem fixed...are they unreliable at 10psi?

let me know comments...

i run 10psi when im racing with an fmu stock injectors and stock fuelpump? bye bye fuel pump? why, they can handle like 12psi with uber or turboedit... so why is it bye bye? stock injectors are made to handle around 7psi with the fmu. my motor is standing and running good... i think the injectors max out at like 14psi with the fmu cuz i hit that on accident when my vacume line came off the wastegate and it bogged hard.. where do u get ur knowledge from? jus going by what a few other people say then talk as if u know? im not saying i know everything but not all motors are the same. your's could blow at even 5psi so telling him 10psi = bye bye to everything is dumb =x but then again so am i

Wow wow wow
I thought an FMU raises the fuel pressure 10-12 psi for every pound boost.
Now If Im not mistaken, 10 psi of boost X 10psi increase of fuel pressure=100psi fuel pressure. Add to this 30psi base pressure, and your saying 130psi of fuel pressure isnt going to ruin you pump or injectors? Do you really think the fuel pump can handle 130 psi of pressure? The idea behid an FMU is to force more fuel into a stock size injector by increasing the fuel pressure. With the fuel unable to flow through the return line, it goes through the wide open injectors. Pretty crude mthod, huh?
Thats why its not reccomended to run more then 5-7psi on a FMU. Unless you want to spring a nastly fuel leak. I pity you if youre a smoker. Or maybe kill your stock fuel pump when driving on the highway.
Now, I may not know everythign myself, but I always though the idea behind turboedit or uberdata is to install larger injectors, thereby reducing the amount of force required to move fuel through them. LArger injectors flow more fuel than smaller injectors right? But how will the car idle with larger injectors? Thats where ECU chipping comes into play. Fuel PSI shoudl remain the same, if not a bit more. Most of the fuel goes through the injectors therefore increasing fuel pressure isnt necesary. Fuel delivery can be tuned precisley.

Now, I may be tottaly off with this stuff, in that case, god help me. But if I am right, then explain to me how a FMu with 10 psi of boost can be a good thing.

lol...i forgot about this post...well it was my fuel pump, so i slapped in the walbro 255 a couple nights ago...fmu handles beautifully at 10psi, really it does cause i run super rich in full boost...im just worried about my injectors...im not sure if my stock injectors are 310cc or 240cc. i have a 3rd gen prelude and i think there 240, i know 4th gen has a set of 310cc injectors and i think ill upgrade to those for now so i dont burn out an injector and then burn up a piston...lol...but for now it runs fine...i just dont really get on it....no one wants to race me anymore so i just dont drive it like im racing...ive only had 2 races since i got this thing turbo'd and they were small block v8's and i beat them both.
