Default What size FMU with DSM 450cc??

I plan running DSM 450cc injectors with the resistor pack on my '94 integra LS with a t3 at 7 lbs. of boost. What size of FMU will I need. I was told to use a 12:1 with my stock injectors, but what size will I need with these bigger injectors? Oh, and by the way, will soldering in the 10 watt 10 ohm resistors on the injectors be just as good and reliable as the resistor pack?

Thanks for any help. This board is bad ***!! Tons of good info on here.

Another question... does anyone have any reviews on the s-afc hack?? I've hard a couple of bad things about it, like you can't properly tune it without dyno time or a wideband o2 sensor(neither of which I can afford). And also if you throw an engine code the ecu will ignore the s-afc, which means you will be boosting without any fuel control...is this true? I was told I wouldn't even need the s-afc for the ammount of boost I was running...it was reserved for people who plan on running 9-12 lbs. of boost. Does that sound right??

Thanks for any help or advice.

I was told stock injectors are too small for 7 lbs. with a 12:1 FMU. I'd be rising the fuel pressure 84 lbs plus the stock fuel pressure of 30 lbs or so, and my stock injectors would fail.

You cannot use the 450cc injectors without something to control them with. The FMU does not control them. It only raises fuel pressure. You would be better off using the FMU and your stock injectors at that low of a psi.

As for the AFC needing dyno time, don't you think the FMU would need some sort of tuning? Well, you can't tune it at all. There are no adjustments or settings. You can get a smaller/larger disk, but you cannot compensate at any specific point in the rmp band.

If you throw an engine code you shouldn't be boosting period. No matter what you are using for fuel management.

I was thinking more like at the instant you threw the CEL....like accelerating under boost, throwing a CEL, realized you just threw a CEL, then you let off of the gas. You would be running without fuel control for 1 or 2 seconds. Would that be enough to dammage the engine??

As far as deciding between FMU and the hack for my small ammount of boost...i'd be deciding between running at or beyond full duty cycle of my stock injectors with the fmu, or barely using the 450cc with the hack....which would be better??

I thaught it was 5-7psi for FMU, and 8-12psi for the hack. Since i'd be running 7psi...I just don't want to max out my injectors and have to worry every time I get under boost.

just use the afc and 450's it will maybe cost 150 bucks extra as opposed to the fmu, and once your boosting 7 for a while, you will want more and you won't be able to up the boost safely with an fmu, however you could go up to about 10-12psi safely with the afc hack, there are no pluses about using the fmu except for the fact that it's cheap, but it could cost you your engine. you shouldn't even have to think about this one

lol, imagine the amout of fuel you would get in your engine with the 450's and a 12:1 fmu! , you would be swimming in it after about 1 minute! he he.

I just realized that with the afc hack you are reduceing the ammount of fuel that the dsm injectors normall put out...I would be super flooding the dsm 450's with a fmu. Please excuse my stupid newbie question.
