what is ROMulatar?
its an Eprom Emulator.
It pretends to be the chip that stores the fuel maps and other ECU code.
Yes you can use it for real time programming with a laptop and TurboEdit, but it doesnt work all that well.

Yep, Uberdata is working on getting the Ostrich scripts into their program, but as of now it's not. maybe in the new version soon to come out (1.
. An eprom emulator definately saves an assload of time and comes in handy alot on the dyno's when your pressed for time as it is. If your looking to do a little tuning on your own vehichle, I don't know if I would spend the extra $175 or so to buy an emulator. Just do your tuning the conventional way with a burner. But if your looking to tune and work on quite a few cars then I'd recommend it.

It dyno'd 251hp / 235 tq to the wheels @ 13psi on TurboEdit. That is with the bad compression in cylinder #2.
How much are what? Rom Emulators?
The Xtronics is $150 I believe, or maybe $200. I dunno...I got mine free

I run TurboEdit personally...but I play with all the free ROMeditors.
The best thing I ever did for learning to tune was to take the EFI101 class. Its a bit pricey for the DIYers here on HMT...but well worth it.
