Default what chips???

hi i got a batronix chip burner and am trying to chip my p72 ecu. I am just wondering what chips i need to buy and what speed they need to be. i have curently tried a 28c256 150ns and i get the cel! are 27c256 and 29c256 chips the only ones that work am i using the rong speed plz get back soon i was hoping to be boosting soon...

I know for a fact that the 29c256 work. Did you make sure the settings are good on the burner?

27c256 and 29c256 are the same thing as far as I know, except the 29 is eletronically erasable (as opposed to the uv erasable 27c) i'd just stick to one of those two

The 28C256 has some pins with different outputs as the other two. So it will not work by just dropping it in.

I use SST 27sf256 chips, i get them from www.batronix.com about $4 a piece or summat, and, they are electronically erasable.

So I am guessing this is comfrimation that 28c256 just will not work then.... darn cause i have bought 2 each being 13$ each and i just wasted that money.... ty for ur imput.
