Default Vtec E madness!!!!

okay well guys i got the deal of the century. i picked up a 95 eg coupe EX 5 speed for 300.00! perfect interior, exterior juts needs a quater panel and thats it.its got ur standard rice intake, header, exhaust. the reason i got it so cheap bc the guy put the shift linkage in wrong and thought the tranny was garbage.somebody has done a swap into it, that being a d15Z1. i guess from what ive read its the economy version and vtec kicks in at 2500 rpms.thats doo doo, so what im askin is what do i have to do to make it like run like a d16z6? i dont know what ecu it has in it, but what would i need to put in there for vtec to kick higher? i already have a single cam turbo kit that i got brand new for 300.00 and a set of free dsm 450's courtesy of the dumbass people at my local junkyard for not checkin my toolbox so basically my goal is to have a high 13 sec single cam slam for less than a 1000.00!! thanks for the help in advance guys

Z1's have a few advantages, like roller rockers, but most people build them with high compression pistons for gas mileage and ----, not really speed.

That particular head casting has small valves, small intake ports, and a small chamber. You'd need another cyl head. But it's not that easy. The stock pistons in a z1 have a HUGE dish in them because the chamber is so small (cc-wise). What this means is that when you put on a z6 head, your compression is so low it's barely useable.

Long story short, get a used z6/d15b/sohc-vtec zc and boost that. The power potential is greater. And then, you could sell me the cam/rocker assembly for 20 bucks.

well for one when i said vtec to kick higher i meant around 5500 rpms, not 2500. and not bullshiting u, i have a daily driver 11 sec twin turbo mustang, so NO i dont know how that vtecE bullshit works; so enlighten me vtecE master. and how but i just boost the ---- out of it and not go through all the crap of changing heads or motors. i got less into a running car than most of the people have into there turbo/injectors on here so it really doesnt matter to me. its gonna be a shitbeater thats good on gas thats all i care about.if i wanna go fast ill drive my mustang. thanks
