Re: Vortech FMU..

I chipped my ecu and threw a basemap I downloaded from xeno on my b running ~12 psi towards the beginning of this year. I never even drove a turbo car before I put that together and I didn't even have my license till Feb. I'm already trying to get my suspension and ---- ready to up the boost. HOW THE ---- CAN SOMEONE STOP AT 5LBS? That is the question I ask and why I say FMU should never be the route.

besides, don't you need to dick with timing and throw a wideband on it anyway with an fmu? you're basically having to learn how to tune anyway so why not learn with the proper tools?

No point in installing a wideband with an fmu, most aren't adjustable.

so you just throw it on and pray? ---- that I'd at least want to put it on once to see, but I also hate the theory behind them so ---- it.

No. You can change your base fuel pressure and raise it all over, but it won't change the amount of fuel increase the fmu provides in boost.

I'd say go for it but keep the boost at or below 5 pounds which was hard trust me... ;D
