Default vortech BTM installing on a civic

I'm trying to install my vortech btm on my car & it isn't wanting to start up,
I started this last night & I'm waking up & trying it again,
anyways,
heres what I have: w/stock ignition

http://www.msdignition.com/forum/arc...hp?t-3077.html
http://www.msdignition.com/pdf/frm23950.pdf

any help would be appreciated,
the car turns & turns,
when I change the ground area...to a different spot it turns & starts for a sec. then dies,

thanks

The large yellow wire going into the coild plug is usaully 12v switched from ignition. use it to power the btm. If this doesn't work the btm is broken
thanks alot for the respond...things you've said,(i havent tried)
but you didn't name all the wires out...heres what I've gotyou said)

black - ground
red - 12 volt source
white - coil + w/black & yellow wire
orange
there is no yellow wire, but I have a red & orange,,,

I think I may be lost...I have 4 wires,black,red,white,orange
black - ground
red - 12volt source
orange?
white?

my mechanic came by & hooked it up,even tried tricking the ecu & module by doing some crazy things,
even hooked up a second coil & used a test light,
anyways,
its a points btm, which my civic doesn't use points ignition,
the vortech btm dont havethe magnetic pickup,(which I need)

so I either need another box or a I could use a 12volt relay...(whatever he said)

but...
I am willing to try what you said,
because its somthing we havent tried & I dunno....
but if you had a clear detail about the other wire....wires,
I would give it a shot,
I was just about to sell it & buy another one with a magnetic pickup...

thanks
