Default VAFC on eclipse

I found an eclipse before I could get my hatch fixed so thats on hold, but does the afc hack work on a eclipse because they have the same problem honda does with the map sensor under boost. Just somethin I need to know before I do this.

well its the RS model eclipse which ive been reading about and you can put the 2.4 liter block with the 420a head and make a nice little motor and i could care less about awd so im gonna fully built a motor for this and then i might do some visual upgrades well see but after this my hatch is getting a ls turbo but of course i dont have the money yet so its all on hold. i got 450cc injectors that i had from my civic kit

...call me crazy.. but why not peice together the stock GSX setup?

ECU.. injectors.. MAP sensor (if needed). I would think that woul dbe a much more "reliable" setup than hacking it.

Plus, http://www.ecimulti.org contains information on how to mod your DSM ECU.

thanks for that link. its the RS model so it has a differant motor that ecu wont work and the tranny is on the other side then the gsx so the swap is complicated. by visual upgrades i ment like the 97 lights and front bumper and rims since it has steelies.

Uh.. as far as ECU's go, it doesn't matter if it's for a different engine.

I'm sure you remap the fuel and ignition tables for whatever boosted application you're going to run on. Wiring shouldn't be too hard if you get the ECU for your year. It would still have to follow the same generation of diags.

Do a little research... ..most of us use lame Honda ECUs to run our "big block" boosted Hondas. I'm sure the same theories can be applied to DSMs.

I hate it when people knee-jerk and immediately call all "visual upgrades" rice. :P So is it wrong to want to make your car look better? Hey man, I'm all for it. Tint da windows, Add some light rims, maybe even some racing seats and a titanium shift ****, rice it up!

btw, anyone know where I can get a cheap titanium ****?

Seriously tho. The whole plain Jane GHETTO ANTI-RICE-**** trend that is coming up is almost as annoying as the change every freaking part on your car trend that is going out. Pretty soon people are going to be intentionally denting their own fenders just so others won't think their nice car is to "RICEY" Come on already!!! lol Just cause you can't afford $10k worth of cf and vinyl don't mean you gotta hate!! :P
