Uberdata, Zeitronix, Datalogging
 

Is it possible to have uberdata datalogging running at the same time as the Zeitronix datologging? will they interfere with each other, or will the work fine? it will be in 2 different windows right?

the uberdata datalogger I plan to use is USB port.
the Zeitronix datalogger is serial port.
the Laptop I use is windows XP

has anyone have experience with these?

If your logging through two diff ports, it should be just fine. Every laptop is diff. though. Mine took quite awhile to get it to work with two diff. ports at the same time. If it doesnt work right away, just start shuffling port assignments around in windows.

I wouldnt worry about it.

I have both, so why not? since uberdata datalog reads the ecu, and wideband reads the o2 it would give an idea of what both is seeing, at the same time... plus I plan to use my stock o2 sensor for the ecu, and the zeitronix for the datalogging, I will use the zeitronix's narroband output for uberdata datalogging, and factory o2 for the ecu

screw that, disable closed loop in UD and use the narrowband output to send a WB signal to your ECU and log that with Uberdata. You only need to use one logger that way and logging from the ECU is the most accurate way to do this.

but that means I would have to disconnect the factory o2 right? I want to keep it installed, unless its required to disconnect factory o2 to hookup wideband o2. I havent got to see my wideband instructions, so I dont know what is required, all I have pictures my wife emailed of the parts I ordered while still deployed, so I'm just trying to see whats my optins

run them both and if they are the same values in each program then just use UD datalogging

huh?

A wideband has a 0-5 volt read out, a narrowband has a 0-1 volt...thus the reason a narrowband is ---- to tune with and wideband is the best to tune with...not to mention that each has a very different curve and accuracy.

Leave the stock o2 in your downpipe if you want, doesnt matter much...have the wideband installed in a separate bung. Use the wideband analog output from the Zeitronix and run it to the pin on your OBD1 ECU (forget the pin #, well explained on the UD forums though)

When you are done tuning...just hook the stock o2 backup to the ECu like it was.

thanks! that makes more sense. I hate CEL so I want to do my best to prevent getting one for O2 circuit.

i think he was saying compare the zeitronix datalogger values to the uber data logger values and go off which you think is more accurate. i personally like to data log from uber b/c uber is reading what the ecu is actually seeing, which is what matters b/c the ecu is going to be changine the a/f accordingly, not the zeit data logger. it's kind of like someone inside a building looking outside saying 'damn, it looks cold as hell out there', and then you have a guy actually standing outside, which would you trust for a more accurate answer?
