TurboEdit, 450cc injectors, stock PM6 map, 3bar Motorola MAP - doesn't work!
Hi guys...
I have a stock D16Z2 engine in my 1990 Civic Hatch. I chipped my ECU, burned a stock PM6 map to it, and everything is working fine. However, i now bought 450cc DSM injectors and a Motorola 3bar MAP sensor from Xenocron and want to install it. I installed TurboEdit 3.1.9, opened up NG60 ROM, imported stock PM6 maps and then changed injector sizing and MAP sensor in ROM properties, saved the .bin, burned it to the chip, installed everything, and the car won't idle properly. It will start, but won't idle properly...revs are jumping up and down (more down than up) and it just stalls and dies after a few seconds.
Is this procedure correct? Should that work like that? I know that the initial PM6 map is good, since i'm driving right now with it. It just seems that injector sizing doesn't work right.
I also have an Ostrich, but haven't used it since, so if you know how to try it with Ostrich, let me know.
I would now like to change injectors only as a first step, and leave the stock MAP sensor for now. Since i took off injectors and put new ones on and took new ones off and put stock ones back just to be able to go to work a few times, i'd really like to make it work right this time and not have to swap injectors again. Can you explain the procedure please?

Basemaps aren't supposed to run like stock. They are a starting place to tune from.
Tune the map you've made if you want the car to idle and drive correctly.

This is the map that I was trying to run on, but it doesn't seem to work....OK, I'll try just to modify a stock map choosing the 450 ccm injectors for now...will let you know how it went...

hopefully you are using a wideband to tune your fuel values
once you get your afrs squared away, then you can switch to the 3bar and give that a shot. are you just running na for now or do you have a turbo? if so, what are you running?

I am running NA for now, my intention was to put 450 ccm DSM's on my engine so that I would have less work when I will be putting a turbo on it....I presumed that the stock map would work fine if I only change injector sizing in Turboedit from 240 to 450 ccm. Could anyone put a bin file here just to show me how the fuel map should look like for a stock na engine (d16z2 pm6) just with 450 ccm's ?
