TurboEdit...
Hopefully TurboEF9, will come in here and help me out:P..
But my question... I'm goin to be running a d16a1 or ZC nto sure, but with a PM7 ECU, most likely.. therefore OBD-0...
Now I've been trynna read up on pgm-fi, so damn confusing, can you direct me to a specific part of the site I should look at, I've bread most of the Wiki, but should I read closer?...
Also my main question is, would TurboEdit be good for 8-10psi daily and up to 20 at the track? Another ROM? Reccomend a standalone?
Thanks everyone.

Re:TurboEdit...
So say, 3 bar map, 450's... alot of freakin reasearch into tuning I'll be alright?
In the Wiki I read that it's a bit harder to put an EPROM into the 88-89 ECU's is it really hard, or with research doable?...
Is TE gonna have a boost controller built in soon?
htanks!

Re:TurboEdit...
PM7 chipping http://www.nitroburn.com/pgmfiwiki/i...pingAn88-89ECU wouldn't say it was too difficult, but you need to be confident with desoldering and soldering

Yes, depending on your hp rating. 450 cc injectors won't support 20psi, but you get the idea.

It's not hard at all. There are two different ways of going about it. You can build a small daughter board. Links to the schematics are in the Engine Management FAQ under the ECU Mod section (3-2 to be exact), or you can get a 40-pin MNU adapter, or burner that supports them.

Probably not. This woul dbe a feature of the ROM, and I haven't heard of this being int he works. There is a boost cut feature, but that is more of a "safety" feature.

Re:TurboEdit...
Hmm K sounds good, thanks guys..
20psi was just a max number, would be too scared to go that high:P... What can 450's handle... whats the bigger size 500-something?
I was sorta confused on the site, what do you need for REal-time editing?
Thanks guys

One will be the use of Xtronic's Pocket ROMulator ( http://xtronics.com/memory/romutator.htm ), and the other will be the use of PGMFI's exclusive RTP daughter board in conjuction with the datalogging MAX233 cable.
Both will have their pros, and cons, but both will be effective, and should be available in the next few months.
(Note: I'm currently working on Xtronics support, beta testing should being in about two weeks)
