Default Turbo edit live on the fly tuning feature...does this work?

Can i tune with the ECU plugged into the laptop ( via max233 kit ) and running TE on the fly without a Wide band 02?

I know it wont be accurate but if i run it like that it will still read info from the ECU right? Or do i need to run ECU control?

Yes you can 'on the fly' tune with TurboEdit, but only in combo with the ROMulator right now...and it doesnt work all that great IMO. It doesnt log anything though and of course you need a WB to tune. Stock narrowband sucks...

You can now get a live map trace with ECUControl and I believe Nick has added support to make real time changes using the PGMFI RTP board but its still being tested.

I would give it a go but my teg is out of commission until I get the new motor in.

Totally different...its a blank PCB they designed over at PGMFI. It replaces the stock Eprom with nonvolitle SRAM to make changes on the fly to the program the ECU uses as it drives...blah blah I actually have no idea what that all means either

There are people using this board successfully with Crome as we speak. Blake hasnt added any support for Uberdata and Nick of ECUControl is trying to add OBD0 support for it with the limited amount of time he has lately.

Actually, it is RTP compatible, I just dont have a RTP module that works. Wish someone could build up a RTP module and test it with ECUControl 5 and NG rom.

Nick...do you still want this ZIFs?

I could send you my complete RTP to borrow and test?

I'll send you a PM on PGMFI...

Ive used the TE/Romulator live update feature a few times. It appears to be buggy if you make large enough changes to cause a colum multiplier change, but thats just my first hand observations. For small subtle changes, it works fine, and does save some time on part throttle fuel tuning.
