if you use the afc hack you will need bigger injector's (i.e. dsm 450's) and that's about it. if you use the fmu, you will probably need a bigger fuel pump. you DON'T use the fmu and the afc, it's one or the other. you will be able to boost a little more with the afc and be able to fine tune a little better, however, the fmu is very cheap. with the fmu you could safely run about 6psi, with the afc hack and bigger injectors, you could run about 9-10 psi. i'm about to put my kit on and i'm a cheap ass, but i would rather spend 100 extra dollars (for afc) and be able to boost more and more safely. oh yeah, keep reading every thing on this site. i've only been on here for like two weeks and have learned enough to answer other peoples questions ;D

Re:turbo

read the sticky thread "post your afc settings here". you could start with one of those and then fine tune from there. remember to adjust the settings before you actually start the car.
