T3/T4 Swap help
hey everybody my buddy and i are trying to swap out the turbo on our project car a 91 ford probe GT (2.2 turbo) came turbo from the factory and we bought a T3/T4 turbo for it and i am wondering if we need a VAFC since it came from the factory already turboed any advice anyone could offer would be greatly appreciated
my exhaust manifold has a T3 already has a T3 flange-no adapter plate required. I have another question i know a VAFC would be best but,
if i got a A/F gauge and a Boost gauge could i run it like it is? i am very afraid of detination occuring some guy told me that i could'nt run it like that with the gauges and a fuel pressure REG. but i don't know because he is trying to sell me a VAFC for 250.00 but hell i can buy a brand new one for less than that (thank you EGAY)lol but i dunno im thinkin id be better of with a VAFC. Can anybody help me?
oo by the way my new turbo is externally gated and my stock turb is internal(vaccum advance) all id have to do is plug the line and weld a new gate on the exhaust or is it the intake tube?cant rem. right now i'll look it up but anyways lol thats the only conversion i'd have to do correct?
