Actually, not all are. They tend to change from year to year and model to model. 2002-2004/5 2.0ltr turbo are top feed. 2.5ltr turbo and 90-94 Leg. turbo are side feed. Not sure how it fits with your application though.

yaay my first post....

Keep on going up with the Legacy models...95+ have side-feed as well, but they're just not in turbo form until the '02 models. Unless of course you get the almighty japan-land version.

Top feed for civic. Every turbo subaru I've looked at always had side feed though. Now that I think about it, weren't ej20 impreza's turbo'd on the old-school models? Or is that ej22? I'm gettin confused here :P And question #3...does this dude live in the states? If not, he may have access to different models than we do

The wrx and sti both run topfeeds, as well as sidefeeds, it depends on the year., search ebay for photos!

I was kind of wondering why on my ej25 it had a strange side-feed setup, although where the injector goes into the manifold it could be replaced with a top-feed. Makes alot of sense I guess if they changed the setup around that much. Not to thread-jack, but since you're a suby guy...how well do the ej25 dohc n/a's hold up to boost, say off a stock td04 from a wrx?

about 4-9 psi max, the max with em..... Best bet is just swapping in low compression pistons, but this runs $500 for rings and pistons, not to mention the cost of gaskets, new clutch disk and so forth....

Hp is easy, but it costs....

It's not even worth my time then. I'd be better off with a complete ej20t+tranny and ecu, seeing that it's still an auto slushbox.
