stock injectors with turbo

is it possible to use stock injectors with turbo if i will raise fuel pressure? if so, how i can raise fuel pressure with most simple way (may be add inline pump? may be do something with stock fuel pressure regulator) and where i have to place pressure gauge? and how much i have to raise pressure?

Stock injectors is not recommended but if you want you can use an FMU.

ok. i am find most quick method to blow my engine. so will i have more flow trough injectors if i will raise fuel pressure up to 120-140 psi constantly, will be that enough to support 8-9 psi and how long will last standadtr injector (if last?) with such high constantly pressure?

BWAHAHAHAH!! 120psi... nice.

I don't want to say you're stupid, so I'll let someone else do that.

..take .5 seconds to do the ---- right, please.

Your motor will thank you in the end.

agreed if you "plan" on using uberdata then just wait til you do.

Re:stock injectors with turbo

no. i want to increase flow trhough injectors via raising fuel pressure and than rescale fuel tables with uberdata. is it possible? =)

Re:stock injectors with turbo

The question is... _why_ would you do that?

Increasing fuel pressure will kill your fuel pump.

Gonna buy a new fuel pump? ...instead, buy a set of injectors. Then you'll have the tools needed to tune your car correctly, and safely.

but fmu works. as i know they raise fuel pressure... sorry for stupid question. i just want to know if that possible to supply enogh fuel with stock injectors.

Re:stock injectors with turbo

You can use stock injectors up to about 5-6psi..

You do realize you're going to damage your stock fuel pump in doing so?

Say you get a 12:1 ratio FMU.. for every 1 psi of boost, you're going to raise your fuel pressure, 12 psi. Stock is say 42psi @ 5psi boost 42 + (5 * 12) = 82psi.. your stock fuel pump will fail at 120psi.

That was only a calculation of idle fuel pressure. I can't remember the rate of increase in fuel pressure at NA WOT.. I believe it's 60psi.. So, with the same idea, 12:1 FMU will be pushing your fuel pumps limit at 5psi of boost.

So, you counter that remark with, "I'll buy a better fuel pump."

Why? When you can get a set of injectors, cheaper, and run your boost correctly, and safely, up to your 9psi... you're just not making sense. ::)

..you gonna

oh. thanx. i didnt know that stock pump will broke at 120 psi. so thanx for such explonation =)

here in Belarus there no turbo dsms. they are only for us market and jdm i think. so there it hard to find 450cc injectors. =)

you have mitsubishi evos? The 1st and 2nd gen used the same engine and 450cc, where as the newer ones used 390cc.

Re:stock injectors with turbo

yeah; i bought a set of 450cc dsm's for a whopping $25 shipped.

i also pushed my 240's with about 5psi of boost for a few days before i got the 450's...
i'm sure my duty cycles were over 100% and those injectors wouldn't have lasted long at all but i needed boost and i sold my FMU.
