Default Sputter, Bog, Stall?

my setup is this:
90 zc 1.6l dohc and zc ecu
safc, eclipse 450cc injectors
just changed the fuel filter and spark plugs.

the car has a bog in between 2k and 3k rpm and sometimes when its at idle cold, if it is idling a bit too high it will catch something and the revs will drop like a rock and sometimes even stall. this is rare though, but it seems to be getting worse.

settings are around -38 up top
idle is set at -29 - -32 or so because the zc ecu doesnt idle at -38

i have a pm6 that i might try tomorrow and see if the bog still stays.

bog means too rich right?
well i tried to lean out that part of tha band a bit, so i put it at -40 - -41 and its still a slight bog, should i go higher?
it was never a problem before so it makes me think that something is causing it.

my second question is this, i wont be able to get a wideband to tune with for at least 4 months so would it be better to keep with the safc hack or go with a pre tuned chip burned with turboedit with someone elses setup.
which would be safer?

maybe the cap and rotor needs replacing?
could it be bad gas? (91 octane)
should i change out the wires as well? (they are the same ones that came with the imported engine
