Default Someone shed some light (Ghd related)

I've sent a few people some chips and ShadowRex was one of them. He sent me this message:

"Well I finally have a few problems if you could help me out with.

1 That hiccup I have it in 3 spots. 0-3 8-10 18-20-23 i think is the last one. It is slamming REALLY hard too.

Second is.... I have a miss at idle and the surging is getting horrible. I keep getting a 02 code alot to even though its like 3 mons old.

third is..... on a cold start even sitting a few hours I drive for a minute and all asuddon i have no power nothing... It feels like a flat spot in the TPS i have checked the settings and there fine. when it starts gewtting warm its fine.

Do you still have a copy of the bin you made for me (i was the one with the dohc zc and turbo lol) I was wanting to look at the ignition maps a little I think it could be more agressive..

Right now I run 2bars rich at WOT no pining or nothing and i run about 8psi of boost. going to step it up to ten soon. I get better response if i dont go WOT. Any advise you may have would be great.

I dont know alot about maps and turbo's. But it just feels alittle weak. I did not step down my plugs to a colder one either.

Um i think thats it lol..... "

-

I know that right now anyone using it will have some bumps but mine are seriously not that bad at all.

my idle seems to be good too, once it warms up it bumps a little but that's it... and as far as the boost goes it pulls hard at WOT.

don't run more than 9 psi of boost either (I think it's 9.2-9.6), but don't go over that point yet because the table drops off around there and you could blow the motor pretty easy.

maybe someone else can help too

thanks

i used a chip you burned me.. it was ok.. the ecu fried though.. dunno why i got a new ecu and a different chip i have an eeprom burner now and i compared the bins you sent me to the ones from ghd. and your fuel maps are a bit more rich than the ones that GHD brings.. maybe u gave me an older version of it.. i dont know.... i didnt really get to test yours all that much.. though the current one works fine.. hiccups arent noticable.. i just run hella rich thats all.. i have no gauges lol so i dunno wtf is going on... but from the popping sounds out the exhaust.. i figure.. its rich

Yeah, I get some pretty good pops out of my exhaust when I downshift to slow down.

I made those a slight bit more rich because I was trying to cut out detonation. I will be using the reg. version after I get a bigger front mount intercooler. The one I had seemed to do a good job as far as flow was concerned, but those temps were too high.. I'm just going to get a starion/conq. one.

Hey Chris, I can send you the original release if you wish... so that it's not AS rich... If I send you that one, please send me the old chip back as I don't have many. Thanks.

I still have your address info.

I can't remember... did you have the launch control enabled or do you not care for that?

Thanks,
Graham
