I have an LM-1 on one of my cars and an LC-1 on the other. I like them both equally and have never had a problem with either. I would get a pair of LC-1's if I did it again since they are smaller and I don't actually look at the LCD display on the LM-1 and I've never used it to datalog.

You might ask why I even bought the LM-1 if I don't use it to datalog or watch it... well, the LC-1 didn't exist when I bought it years ago. Now I also have an XD-1 (on the car where AFR really really matters) to watch it and a NB Autometer gauge taking a 0-1V linear on the other car to give me a general light to watch.

plx m300 ftw! I installed it yesterday. had some problems at first(user errors) but now its great. now I need a damn laptop! tuning solely off the wideband and rpms is kinda difficult, but o wells.

Not the greatest idea doing it yourself since it takes your eyes off the road. Did that a few times and had some close calls. :1

Get the RPM converter and you can record with the LM1 and then review on your desk top PC.

LC-1 gets my vote if you plan on doing a permanent install. Only have to run one O2 sensor in the car since you can program it to simulate a narrowband output.

If I ever end up tuning some more cars then I would probably go with something else. Most likely the a PLX for simplicity.
