so i went to chip my ecu today...
just got back from vacation. i've worked with electronics before. hell thats what im going to school for. tomorrow the dremell tool comes out and i am going to cafefully cut each post (on the top of the circuit board)...well first im going to try a hotter iron...this is a bitch in a half.
ok, so i hacked it with the dremel and it worked great. now that i've installed it back into the car using the ghettodyne NA BIN file it idles 1000 to 2000 rmp and jumps up and down, then stalls out. any ideas?
When I desoldered my chip, I first cut the old one out with a pair of small electromic dykes. Made everthing go much smoother. Then I either heat up each clipped pin from the back while a buddy pulls with a pair of electronic needle nose from the front, and then desolder. Almost imposible to screw up doing it this way and its pretty fast.
