Think we could keep the exploits of your monosexual gymnastics contained in some thread in General Discussion? :P

ok, so i hacked it with the dremel and it worked great. now that i've installed it back into the car using the ghettodyne NA BIN file it idles 1000 to 2000 rmp and jumps up and down, then stalls out. any ideas?

When I desoldered my chip, I first cut the old one out with a pair of small electromic dykes. Made everthing go much smoother. Then I either heat up each clipped pin from the back while a buddy pulls with a pair of electronic needle nose from the front, and then desolder. Almost imposible to screw up doing it this way and its pretty fast.

I've got this really neat tool that grabs ahold of the chip and you just squeeze and it slowly pulls the chip loose while you just slightly jiggle it.

Look on the resources section of the PGMFI board for ROM images, and get the stock 91si.bin. Load that onto a chip and see if you're still having problems...if you use the stock program, you can eliminate/verify that you've screwed something up during the chipping progress.

Are you throwing any codes? -Z
