Default Safc Help!! Im strugglin

Well the turbo is going to go in on wed so I thought I'd get all the little stuff done. (boost gauge, etc) When I got to the safc I got stumped. Where the hell is my ecu? I look down under the passenger side carpet and there are 2 gold boxes. 1 is under a sheet of metal that can be taken off, and the other is actually kinda under the dash behind the stereo and ----. The one under the dash looks like it has all the wires kinda going to it but i cant even see if they are because its bolted under there and I cant see the connectors. I have a 93 accord by the way. Oh yeah hondas use karmin right?

hi, keep me posted with your set-up as i have a 92 accord that i hope to be boostin this spring/summer (I'm just lacking my gauges, ic piping and custom downpipe).

ECU is located inside the passenger compartment - under the dash, by kick panel.

Did you remove the kickplate...4 screws. It should be under there

Please email me your set-up if you don't mind...

Good luck

i have a 95 civic and mine is on the pass side near the door.. take off that cover and the wiring harness plug into the bottom of the ecu. just unplugg them all and then get to work... Mine is Pressure not karmen... it tells you in your booklet you shouldve gotten if not you can look it up at www.apexi.com. Actually in the book it even tells you the location of the ecu.. if you cant find your ecu by then i would recomend having someone else hook it up for you

thanks a lot. I was so hoping that it was under the kickplate and not the one under the dash. Hit me up sometime on AIM. Jugheadz is the ID

Use the english SAFC gen 1 english manual from the website even if you have the SAFC gen 2 like me, it's still the same wiring scheme.

And yes the ECU is under the kick panel right at the passengers "foot rest", actually you can consider the ECU AS the passengers foot rest.. hehehe

Oh and be fore warned, the Apexi wiring diagram is of the harneses looking from the back where the wires plugged into the ECU, not of the front. I had a mix up there and had every wire reversed, DOH!
Oh and our cars are PRESSURE! Karmen will make your engine sputter and die.. hehehe don't ask me how I know.

91lx,

Have you completed a full dsm set-up, or are you currently running the S-AFC w/o the turbo?

If you have the turbo in, any info on your set-up would be grreat.

thx

Running S-AFC without turbo right now. I'm going slow because the car is my daily driver and I can't have it inoperable for more than the weekend
But I have the full DSM stuff sitting in my garage ready to install, once I get my IC, oil and coolant lines in order. DSM 1g manifold/turbo/BoV/injectors.
I'll be installing the 450cc injectors this week without just using the S-AFC to control it without the turbo.
