RPM Activated Switch Q's.
Okay I have a chipped PM6 that I was going to use for my D16a6. I now plan on using it for my LS/VTEC with some healthy TE management, but since it is a non-VTEC ECU I know I'm going to need to set up an RPM activated switch to activate the VTEC crossover. How exactly is this done? (Sorry I tried searching). I'm a total newb with wiring so lamens terms would be much appreciated.

Re:RPM Activated Switch Q's.
Well you can either by an "rpm activated switch" or you can buy a racing tach with shift lite and kill 2 birds with 1 stone
The way its done is:
Tap into the signal wire of the shift light... theres only 2 wires.. if you have a power tester then just poke the shift light wire with a safety pin and touch it to ur power tester... rev the car up and when it hits your desired rpm the shift light and ur power tester should come on.
Thats your money wire... Splice into that and run it to the vtec solenoid. This 12volts is all it takes to activate vtec.. as far as the extra fuel ur on ur own...
Someone correct me if im wrong but the last tunable fuel cell in T/E is like 7300 or 7400 and ur probably gonna be rippin the ls/v above that so be careful
