What the hell is it? I was reading you need it to do realtime tuning when running uberdata. oh and how would you mix the two. thanks

1) http://www.xtornics.com
2) I don't know exactly what Blake is doing to interface with ROMulator. Last I heard, he hadn't got direct interfacing working with it. I think you'll have to use the ROMulator software to update the bin. |

Re:Romulator?????
Well, see, "ROMulator" is a trade marked Xtronics product with it's own serial communications protocol.
..other "EEPROM Emulators" may use something else and are almost certainly not compatible with "ROMulator". |
Re:Romulator?????
so if I built an RTP ecu which software would i use with my obd2 setup and second which realtime programmer works with uberdata?
|
Re:Romulator?????
1) No real time programmer works with Uberdata.
2) You cannot RTP your OBD2 ECU. |
Re:Romulator?????

ROM Emulators use their own proprietary software...ECUs that have RTP capability use the commands specified by the ROM Emulator manufacturers to interact with them. The "RTP Board" is another story...its just a simple, cost effect ROM Emulator I guess...dont know much about how it works. |

I don't think that it's boost capable yet, but I think he has plans to incorporate it. [EDIT] ..oh ya, and as long as the checksum is disabled in the OBD1 ROM (via the console I believe) you can use TurboEDIT's ROMulator support on OBD1. [/EDIT] |
