Bone, here's a link to the pgmfi library, it loads a bit slow but it works

Re: /r/ Fuel efficient basemaps for stock D and B engines?
There is no use for a Honda KS, the are only used to trim ignition at cruise for emissions purposes + the ECU promptly ignores the KS when WOT, under high load, or above 5K rpms.

JD, haven't I mention enough I'm tuning for MPG for right now.

What program are you gonna use? eCtune?

Re: /r/ Fuel efficient basemaps for stock D and B engines?
Right now, I plan on using the free Crome, then go from there. I just need to learn the basics, tuning for MPG, then decide later when I have to tune my yet to be finished D15 insane compression motor.
14:1 using stock parts. Maybe run it on E85, but around my area it's not worth it. E85 is just .10-.20 a gallon cheaper than 87. I'm thinking a .080" Cometic HG which would put the compression at about 12-12.5:1........... |
Re: /r/ Fuel efficient basemaps for stock D and B engines?
I'd bring the compression down if you can...too much ping ping if the right parts arent put together.
12 - 12.5 should be good for fuel mileage. |
Re: /r/ Fuel efficient basemaps for stock D and B engines?
E85 and 14:1 is doable, not easy.......and I would have Blundar do it.
|
Re: /r/ Fuel efficient basemaps for stock D and B engines?
If you want 12-12.5:1 on a D, go D16Y head and make sure you have plenty of quench as it sidesteps the low end pingies. PM3 flat top pistons machined to suit a Y8 head would do the number nicely.
