what's up nigs? With gas prices soaring with no signs of change, I figured it would be a good idea to post some fuel efficient basemaps for D and B series setups..

If I still had my wideband I would make one for my stock B16A, so If you have any please provide. Thanks for your time and contribution.

Jesus Christ it's not that hard, get a map and spend LITERALLY ONE MINUTE and you can lean the whole thing out.

But your whole question is idiotic. A basemap is a basemap, I don't make any basemaps "extra rich" in vacuum, I always make them as close to stock as possible.

Look in the code and simply have the O2 sensor target a slightly leaner voltage would work as well.

JD, so when dave did my chipping, without disableing the O2 it was always trying to settle on 14.7 A/F under cruise conditions?????

Yes, I'm a tuning newb, I've got ALOT to learn........but I finally WANT to learn it. Mostly for MPG tuning. Buddy in Mich is going for 60 mpg using an updated version of my old setup and alot more aero treatments.

Yes, it also tries to tune for 14.7 at idle.

If you bias the maps lean, while it swings rich when the O2 feedback is active, it spends most of it's time lean. Likewise, if the map is rich the O2 feedback will cause the mix to switch lean but it still spends more time rich on average.

You also have to keep in mind the ECU tries to switch around .51 volts, and if the system grounds suck the O2 is putting out >.51 to get .51 at the ECU... Generally a great idea to lower the value, if you can. Also, I like using wideband closedloop on eCtune, if you have a wideband that you can program the outputs on (JAW, LM-1/LC-1, etc) then 13:1 is 0v and 17:1 is 5v and if you lose .25 volts somewhere along the way it doesn't mean a whole hell of a lot compared to the stock O2 analogy.

well for right now I'm only gonna monitor/datalong the stock mapping until I learn more using HULOG or HONDALOG and then learn about and Ostrich or Burn1, then finally a wideband.

Slow steps, nothing major.

One question I need to research is would I have a use for a knock sensor???? I've never heard my D15B7 rattle/ping under light cruising on the old Dave tune.

Is there a working link to the old PGMFI Wiki? I've got the Moates Tuning with Crome v1.06 to read tonight. Mine you I'm only working on MPG right now. Heck the current motor never gets of 4000 rpm.
