of course you can use a PS9 on a B16... as of yet i believe that the PS9/Turboedit is the only way for you to run an OBD0 B16 with boost. someone was telling me that you could run Crome/PR3, but im not sure if thats true?

Basically any OBD0 Ecu can be modified to accept a 'chip'

However, there is only free code out there that will run some of these ECUs

For example...there is no boost code for PR3/PW0 ECUs that you can modify in TurboEdit, only NA code.

The only code out these for OBD0 VTEC & BOOST for OBD0 is on the PS9. This is why for some I recommend converting up to OBD1 if your are running VTEC/Turbo.

Re:ps9 b16 turbo questions

ya i know thats what i have, im asking will it throw codes or anything if i just hook it strait up ?

turbohf 11-17-2004 01:41 PM

Re:ps9 b16 turbo questions

you not under stand what they mean by one wire? it means the car will run with you just hooking up VTEC.

but to aswner more complete, it doesnt know to look for that ---- (coolant temp, or oil pressure at the head) cuz its not in the electronics cuz that ecu wasnt ment for VTEC....

Re:ps9 b16 turbo questions

ya i know dustin i was trying to find since the ecu doesnt recognize that ---- if it would throw a code seeing it didnt know what the hell it was i know vtec would work.

In some of the OBD0-OBD1 conversion write-ups I've read, you can keep the original injectors as long as you keep the resistor pack too.
But don't you still have to use DSM 450cc injectors for boost?
