PM6 ECU from 89 Si CRX...does it have external ROM??
I want to know if a PM6 ECU from a 89 CRX Si have an external rom..
I am about to buy one and want to know..cause it's for use with Ghettoyne.
I already have a 88 PM6 but it's romless.

95% of 89 ECUs are ROM-less just like your 88.
The next (2.5?) version of ghettodyne will support 88-89 ECUs if you're willing to buy a MCU programmer instead of a ROM burner.

later 89 ecus DID have external roms. i know FOR A FACT, i have it sitting opened up in front of me right now, that anything with a date of at least 89.8.7(the date stamped on ecu), has an external rom. check out the date on the one you are looking at. if it is this date or later, it should have an external rom. if not then wait for a while

Yeah I know, but most ECU's made in 89 were for the 90 model cars.
The ecu's are made a year prior to the sale of the car...in my 89 CRX the ecu has a year 88 date
