i really need help on this one.
i think i tryed everything and i still cant datalog.


p28 ecu.
cut J12.

so i got my knockoff dku-5 cable: its got 5 wires in it. (black,red,yellow,white,green)

all i can find with a voltmeter is that the black wire leeds to the outer metal thing of the usb connector, so im assuming its ground




and i pinned it this way:

this is how i set it on the laptop: ( i think that its the original nokia software. is it ok?)




what ever i do. i cant seem to datalog. i tryed with ecucontrol5 and also with free log.
both are set to com3.

what else can i try?

i also tryed switching the tx and rx and yet the same resault.... nada.

If you connect the RX and TXl can you see your typing in hyper terminal on your com port? Are you sure your prolific device set is on COM 3? Is the baud rate correct?

 

I had 2 DKU-5 cables, I got so frustrated with both of them I said "---- it" and bought a serial cable from xenocron and it worked great. I cant really help you out besides try a different ground wire, you may need to use a different one. Post up if you get it to work.

 

yeah. i tryed connecting them togather. no luck there.

whats profolic device?
and how do i change a baud rate?
